Lane Robert Rowe, 11, died suddenly at his home in Burnt Hills on Monday, October 1, 2012.
He was born September 12, 2001 in Niskayuna and attended O’Rourke Middle School.
Lane’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touch by him understand that the quality of his life far exceeded the quantity of time for which he lived.
Lane loved life and he loved everyone and everything in his. He was the most outgoing little boy, full of energy and passion for life. He was a funny, amazing boy and brightened up everyone’s day with hilarious jokes and his awesome personality. He loved bike riding, jumping on the trampoline, hanging out at his mom’s hair salon “Reflections” in Burnt Hills, and spending time with his brothers, sisters, and cousins.
Lane loved music and loved playing instruments, singing, and dancing. He enjoyed playing his video games, taking pictures and spending summers at his grandparent’s home in the Catskills. Lane started middle school this year, loved hanging out with his best friends, and was well liked by all of his teacher’s students.
Lane is survived by his parents, Jennifer and Daniel Abraham of Burnt Hills and Robert Rowe and
Carol Von Fricken of Schenectady; brothers, Reid Rowe, EJ, Lark and Felix Abraham; sisters, Luca and Donya Rowe and Miah Abraham; grandparents, Carolyn and Lynn Bradley of Margaretville, Louise Rowe of Troy, and Lavina and George Abraham; aunts and uncles, Paul and Elizabeth Ackerley, of Mt. Kisco, Theodore Finkle and Pamela West-Finkle of South Kortright, and Stuart Rowe of New Jersey; and cousins, Justin Foley, Sage, Denali and Akasha Finkle, Jessica Cambier, Parker and Piper Ackerley, and Nia Rowe of New Jersey.
A memorial services was held at the Burnt Hills Methodist Church on Thursday, Oct. 4 at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the “Lane Rowe Memorial Fund” at any branch of the Ballston Spa National Bank or be mailed to the bank at PO Box 70, Ballston Spa, NY 12020.
