Kathrine DiBenedetto, 78, a resident of Grand Gorge, died peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013 at her home that she and husband built with lots of love.
In prior years she lived in Holmes.
Born in Germany in 1935 under her German name Trinchen Kerstner, Kathrine came to America at the age of 18 and met the love of her life, Ralph. They were married within three weeks after they met. They enjoyed their lives together for 50 years until Ralph’s death on October 18, 2004. She loved to dance, needlepoint, garden, and most of all, spend time with her family and friends. She had a long career with IBM, retiring from IBM in East Fishkill.
Kathrine is survived by three children, Dolores, Alex, and Jean; five grandsons, Christopher, John Aaron, Alex Colton, Kevin Michael, and Anthony Joseph and one great grandson, Ryder Trace. She also leaves behind a very extended large family and friends in Germany whom she visited often and loved very much.
She enjoyed many great adventures with her dear friend, Ingrid. Many other dear friends are left behind.
Services for Kathrine will be private.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Miller Funeral Hom in Roxbury.
