July 2, 2008: Positive ending can be reached

in

To The Editor:
During the 21 years we have had our much-too-small Halcottsville cabin, our guests have often enjoyed the warm hospitality of Susan’s Pleasant Pheasant Farm.
This fragile structure is a wonderful centerpiece in our hamlet. It would be a shame if its existence is unnecessarily endangered by the new bridge construction.
Apparently a win-win solution is at hand; a solution which includes the certain safety of the inn and the creation of a new bridge. I urge everyone to think constructively about how this issue can be brought to a positive resolution.
