Julia Liberatore, 92, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Mountainside Residential Care Center in Margaretville.
She was born June 7, 1915, a lifelong resident of Yonkers.
She married Louis J. Liberatore on April 23, 1938, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
Julia worked at Yonkers Raceway for 22 years. She enjoyed cooking for and taking care of her family.
Surviving are four sons and their wives, Louis and Linda of Boynton Beach, FL, Jerome and Tonya of Roxbury, Ronald and Hazel of Brooksville, FL and Anthony and Lynette of Roxbury. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Julie, Eric, Jerome, Lauren, Alanna, Meghan and Jacob and two great-grandchildren, Mila and Benjamin.
She was predeceased by her husband, Louis Liberatore in 1996; a sister, Antoinette DeMarsh and a brother, Nicholas Guadagnoli.
Calling hours in Yonkers will be Wednesday, June 4, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Flower Funeral Home, 714 Yonkers Avenue.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 5 at .Bartholomew’s Roman Catholic Church in Yonkers.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Yonkers.
