James (Curley) Hilton, 80, a resident of Margaretville, died March 4, 2013 at Margaretville Hospital.
James was born April 10, 1932 at Richmond, VA, the son of Philip and Jesse (Burke) Williams.
He was a truck driver and worked delivering mail for the U.S. Postal Service. He spent the last 16 years living in the Margaretville area having moved here from the Bronx.
James traveled all over the United States riding his motorcycle and enjoying the country.
He is survived by his significant other, Cellie Davis of Margaretville; two daughters, Yvonne Newman, and Deborah Dowdy; a grandson, Tyraine Newman; a niece, Dolores Burley, and a nephew, Walter Williams.
Jim was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Hilton and a sister, Rebecca Hilton Williams.
A memorial service was conducted by Bishop John J. Shea on Monday, March 11, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville.
The family will hold a committal services at a later date.
