Harry L . Munsell, 73, a resident of Roxbury, died Friday, June 13, 2014 at Samuel S. Stratton Veterans Hospital in Albany.
Harry was born November 19, 1940 at Roxbury, the son of Henry and Margaret (Gregory) Munsell.
He graduated from Roxbury Central School in 1958 and then joined the U.S. Air Force and served from 1958 to 1962. He was a manager at several locations for the Newberry Department Stores. After returning to Roxbury he worked for his brother, David in the construction business. Harry was an excellent tile setter and was well known for that talent. He enjoyed dancing, camping, and was a good piano player.
Surviving Harry are his longtime companion Barbara Meade; a daughter, Michele Morris and her husband Eric; a brother, David Munsell and his wife Barbara; sisters, Elizabeth Wu, MaryLou Niles and her husband Richard, and Antha Robbins and her husband James. Also surviving are special daughters, Joanna (Eric) Biagi, and Jessica (Sweeny) Murti. Grandchildren Natalie Morris, Aurelia Biagi, Caroline and Ryan Murti, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 19 at the Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury.
Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 2 p.m. until service time at 4 p.m.
A committal service will be held at a later date.
