Graduations planned at local schools

Commencements will be held this weekend for members of the Class of 2012.
Graduation at Andes Central School is planned for Friday, June 22 at 7 p.m. under a tent on the soccer field.

There are 10 members in the graduating class. Joseph Grieco, former ACS teacher and administrator, will give the commencement address.

Margaretville’s commencement is planned for Saturday, June 23 at 1:30 p.m. on the grounds in front of the school’s main entrance. In the event of poor weather, the ceremony will be moved into the new gymnasium.

The MCS Class of 2012 has 30 graduates. Tracy Reither, physical education and health teacher at Margaretville, will be the guest speaker.

The Roxbury Central School graduation will take place on Saturday, June 23 at 11 a.m. in the gymnasium. There are 22 members in the graduating class.
Laurie Andrews, an instructional support teacher at RCS, will be the guest speaker.

OCS ceremony
Onteora’s Class of 2012 will have its commencement on Friday, June 22 at 6 p.m. The ceremony will be held at the Boiceville campus, on the football field, weather permitting. In the event of rain, the graduation will be held in the gymnasium.

The commencement speaker will be Ms. Jean Douglas, a longtime teacher at Onteora High School, who is retiring this year.
