Frost Valley YMCA Archery Shoot August 9

Claryville — Frost Valley YMCA’s Outdoor Sporting Program will hold a 3-D Archery Shoot and Barbecue on Saturday, Aug. 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants of all ages are invited to test their skills on Frost Valley’s new 3-D course. The course features 28 lifelike targets that will challenge archers of all skill levels. The course is rearranged for every shoot, presenting different challenges for each event.
Completion categories are offered for each target from cub, novice, youth, traditional, women, hunter, open, to pro and top bow classes. Foam animals are set in natural terrain on a 1/2-mile trail of easy hiking for most everyone. Competitors will shoot from various positions.
If possible, shooters should bring their own bow and arrows. Frost Valley staff will be available for tips and instruction and a limited number of loaner bows will also be on hand.
The event fee is $16 for adults; $6 for children 13 and under and those under age six compete for free.
The 3-D course is located at 2244 Frost Valley Road, Claryville.
