Free rabies clinics scheduled in April

The Delaware County Public Health Nursing Service will hold two free rabies clinics for cats and dogs in the area during April.
Rabies clinics are set for Monday, April 21 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at SUNY Delhi’s Farnsworth Hall (back parking lot) and on Friday, April 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Fleischmanns Firehall.
Cats and dogs are eligible for their first rabies vaccine at three months of age. Pets must be confined while at the clinic. Vaccines are good for three years and owners must bring proof of their pet’s previous vaccination.
New York State law requires cats and dogs to be vaccinated against rabies by the age of four months.
