On Saturday Aug. 25, films will screen in the United Ministry Church, at the Courthouse Square in Delhi and at the Delaware County Historical Society. Films will begin screening at 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Film schedules are to be determined.
The festival includes 42 films in the narrative, documentary, short film and music videos categories. All films have a connection to the Catskill Region.
At the August 24 kickoff in Farrell Center, there will be a short presentation from local media professionals and community leaders. Film festival awards will be announced at the kickoff and a program of approximately five films will immediately follow.
Jessica Vecchione, a resident of Hamden and owner of Vecc Videography says, “Hollywood ain’t the only hills filled with creative talent! Movies come right from our own community now. Because of the availability of movie technology, all kinds of people are making them. It’s time to have a permanent, yearly venue to showcase our filmmakers and their films.”
Raegan Reed, chamber president and owner of the Cardio Club and Dance Studio in Delhi, said
“This year the Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to incorporate this great new addition to the Art & Soul of the Catskills Festival. We hope this new and exciting portion of the festival will draw even more attention and people.
