Father's Day festivities offered at Frost Valley

Frost Valley YMCA in Claryville is the perfect place to bring dad for the Father’s Day weekend. Frost Valley is an ideal setting for family getaways and Father’s Day is a great time to treat dad to a weekend in the mountains. Claryville is only about two-and-a-half hours from the tri-state metropolitan region, making the trip easy on the travel budget.
Adding to the appeal is a special rate on Frost Valley’s family-style lodging for Father’s Day Family Camp Weekend, June 13-15 (and also on Labor Day Family Camp Weekend, August 29-Sept. 1).
Guests are offered a full range of activities. Among the choices are: fishing, ceramics, hiking, yoga, arts and crafts, hay rides, astronomy hikes, greenhouse tours, wall climbing and boating. Families and other groups are welcome to visit fall through early spring. The period from late June though late August is reserved for summer campers.
In addition to the specially priced family-style accommodations, there are many other lodging options, including the historic Forstmann Castle and the brand new Lakeview Lodge, a modern, motel-style facility with state-of-the-art amenities.
Established in 1901 as one of the nation’s first summer camps, Frost Valley provides four seasons of outdoor, experiential and educational opportunities including summer camps for children, environmental education, year-round activities for families and conference and retreat facilities for groups and businesses.
