Dr. Robert Lor

Dr. Robert Lor, 87, a resident of Perch Lake, Andes, died at his residence on March 24, 2012.

He was born on June 15, 1924 in New York City, the son of Alexander and Edna (Cadares) Lor.
Robert married Stel-la Thompson on February 7, 1950 in New York City.

He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, serving in Germany and France. He received the  Purple Heart for services he gave to his country.

Robert graduated from the Chiropractor Institute in New York City in 1951. He practiced on  Long Island and in 1967 open-ed a practice in Mar- garetville where he worked until he was  81 years old. He was devoted to his patients. He loved his horses and working on the  farm.

Dr. Lor is survived by his wife, Stella Lor; his children, Janice Lor, Gregory (Mary) Lor,  Jeffrey (Vicki ) Lor, Ingrid Lor, and Sonia Lor; 11 grandchildren and twin sisters Doris  Lor,  and Bicki  Horne.
He was pre-deceased by two grandchildren.

A memorial funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 31 at the  Hynes Fune-ral Home, Margaretville with the Rev. Richard Dykstra officiating.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday prior to the service from 1 p.m. until service time  at 2 p.m.
A committal services will be held at a later date.
Donations in memory of Dr. Robert Lor  may be made to the Catskill Area Hospice. 
Funeral arrangements  are entrusted to the Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville.
