DNB opens Oneonta branch
The Delaware National Bank of Delhi is opening its doors on Main Street in Oneonta. The Delaware National Bank of Delhi is the oldest bank in Delaware County, the third oldest bank in New York State and the 26th oldest bank in the nation.
The bank is opening its new loan office located at 265 Main Street, Suite 7 on the corner of Ford Avenue and Main Street in Oneonta.
The bank was established in 1839 by a group of citizens who saw a need for a banking institution in Delaware County. The first location was on the second floor of a storefront on Delhi’s Main Street. In 1841 the corner lot next to the courthouse square in Delhi was purchased and their Main Office can be found there today.
The Delaware National Bank of Delhi has grown since 1839 with branch offices located on NYS Route 28 in Margaretville, on NYS Route 23 at Pindar’s Corners in Davenport and on NYS Route 10 in Hobart.
