Dance-a-Thon April 18 benefits hospital auxiliary
Margaretville — The third annual Margaretville Hospital Dance-a-Thon benefit, hosted by the Margaretville Hospital Auxiliary, will be held at Belleayre Ski Center’s Upper Lodge on Saturday, April 18 at 7 p.m.
This year, for the first time, the event will feature live music from Blues Maneuver. Country line dancers Rose and Gordy Stahl and professional swing dance teacher, Kyla Marion will be back to demonstrate new steps.
Guests will enjoy a buffet dinner and the Auxiliary’s famous desserts. The entire evening costs $30 for tickets purchased in advance, $35 at the door. Last year was sold out, so dance fans are encouraged to make their purchases early.
Tickets are available at the new Auxiliary Thrift Shop, 850 Main Street, Margaretville, opposite B&D Motors. Or mail a check, payable to the Margaretville Hospital Auxiliary, along with a stamped self-addressed envelope to Pat Kolar, Margaretville Hospital, 42084 state Highway 28, Margaretville, NY 12455.
For more information call Pat at 845 586-2631, ext. 3145.
Belleayre Superintendent Tony Lanza is generously providing the Upper Lodge for this event and his staff members are contributing their time.
Last year’s Dance-a-Thon was a huge success. More than 125 people danced the night away.
“With live music from Blues Maneuver, this year’s event should be bigger and better,” said Hospital Board Member Fred Margulies.
Proceeds from the first Dance-a-Thon helped renovate the hospital’s main lobby and ER waiting room. The second event provided equipment and supplies for the Hospital’s mobile medical van. This year’s proceeds will support the auxiliary’s goal of purchasing a new four-wheel drive ambulance.
