County Fair set for Aug. 12-17

The 127th Delaware County Fair will run from Monday-Saturday, Aug. 12-17 at the fairgrounds in Walton.
Among the highlights this season will be:
• Monday, Aug. 12: Amusement rides open at noon. Demolition Derby at 7 p.m.
• Tuesday, Aug. 13: Free grandstand all day and night. One hour of free Midway rides from 11 a.m.-noon. 4-H Parade and Firefighters’ Parade at 6:30 p.m.
• Wednesday, Aug. 14: Children’s Day – reduced rates on rides until 5 p.m. NYTPA Modified Tractor Pull and Truck Pull.
• Thursday, Aug. 15: Senior Citizens’ Day - $4 for admission. All Day Pay One Price Rides, $20. Street Legal 4x4 Pickups, Invitation Big Rig Truck Pull and Super Farm Tractors.
• Friday, Aug. 16: Pay One Price Rides ($18) from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. IBR Sanctioned Bronc and Bull Riding, 1 p.m. Demolition Derby, 7 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 17: Pay One Price Rides ($17) from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Pay One Price Rides ($18) from 6-11 p.m. Country music duo Montgomery Gentry with Aaron Kelly and Lindsey Erin, 7 p.m.
Admission to the fair is $8 per day or an $18 Advantage Pass provides admission for the entire week. Children 12 and under are admitted free. A $22 Mega Pass is good for single gate admission and all day rides (any day). Mega Passes must be purchased before August 12.
