Corridor update in Fleischmanns

This month’s meeting of Central Catskills Collaborative will feature a presentation by the Fleischmanns Byway Group as part of the Route 28 Scenic Byway Nomination process at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 25 at the Skene Memorial Library, Main Street, Fleischmanns.
Each of the seven corridor communities, from Hurley to Andes, is presenting an inventory of the resources that express a sense of place within five byway themes: scenic, natural, cultural, historical and recreational. All of the inventories will be combined into the corridor management plan and submitted to New York State for the nomination.
The public is encouraged to participate in this regional marketing and revitalization effort, which is being supported by the Catskill Watershed Corporation, the Rivendell Foundation and community volunteers. Light refreshments will be provided.
