Coral Myers, 74, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at Mountainside Residential Care Center, where she had been a resident since November 20, 2007. She was born in East Rockaway on June 17, 1933, the daughter of Theodore Joseph and Florence (Warren) Schratwieser.
Cora was a longtime area resident and had also lived in Florida. She worked as a home health aide for several families in the Margaretville area. Cora loved to dance and did a lot of fishing when she lived in Florida.
She was loved by her family and many friends. Surviving are her children, Rose Ladenheim of Arkville, Donnie Wayman of Margaretville, Robbie Wayman of Margaretville, and Eddie Banks of Arkville; sisters, Florence “Sugar” Teuten of Long Island, Catherine Smith of Long Island and Bernice Jaycox of Canada. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Teddy Schratwieser, Buddy Schratwieser and Robert Schratwieser and a grandson, Ian Wayman.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 10 at 2 p.m. at Hynes Funeral Home in Margaretville. Committal services will be held at a later date.
