Christine Ebersole headed to Belleayre
Highmount – Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole will make a very special appearance in the intimate setting of the Belleayre Music Festival on Saturday, July 21 at 8 p.m.
Ms. Ebersole has received virtually every Off-Broadway award and her second Tony Award for Leading Actress in a Musical for her “dual role of a lifetime” as Edith Beale and Little Edie Beale in “Grey Gardens.” The show was nominated for 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
Other memorable stage performances include her Tony Award-winning performance as Dorothy Brock in the smash hit revival “42nd Street,” “Steel Magnolias,” “On the Twentieth Century,” “Dinner at Eight” (Tony and Outer Critics Circle nominations) and the recent revival of Noel Coward’s “Blithe Spirit.”
Ms. Ebersole has captivated audiences throughout her performing career, from the Broadway stage to television, films, concerts and recordings.
Just days prior to her Belleayre show, TBS will premier the new TV series, “Sullivan & Son,” in which Ms. Ebersole plays a starring role.
Ms. Ebersole has also appeared in many movies, including “Amadeus,” “Tootsie,” “Confessions of a Shopaholic” and last fall’s hit, “The Big Wedding.”
She also played Richie Rich’s mother in the recent big screen adaptation of the famed comic book.
