Charles J. “Chuck” Lloyd, 43, of Bonnieview Avenue, Pine Hill, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009 at the Margaretville Hospital as a result of medical complications. He was born Feb. 4, 1966 in Mt. Vernon, the son of Margaret Biase Lloyd of Pine Hill, and the late Charles Lloyd.
A lifetime area resident, he had been employed as a driver for various trucking firms including National Freight and Covenant.
He was a 1984 Onteora High School graduate and alumni of Ulster County Community College.
Chuck was an avid outdoorsman who had enjoyed hunting. He formerly was a member of the Pine Hill Fire Department.
Surviving in addition to his mother, are his son, Gregg C. Lloyd of Pine Hill and his maternal grandmother, Margaret Biase of Kingston.
He was predeceased by his son, Joshua in 2001.
A service to celebrate the life of Chuck was held Monday, Jan. 4 at the E.B. Gormley Funeral Home, 87 Main St., Phoenicia with the Rev. Gerald Norris of the Shandaken Methodist Church as celebrant.
Burial is in the family plot in the Shandaken Rural Cemetery.
