Centerpiece Workshop at RAG Dec. 6
Roxbury — We’re all thinking about how to manage our budgets at the same time we’re thinking about how to lower our carbon footprints. Come to a workshop that will address both these concerns and also provide you with a new skill you can use over and over.
On Saturday Dec. 6, from 1:30 to 4 p.m., The Roxbury Arts Group will offer a workshop in Creating a Holiday Centerpiece by professional floral designer Sheila Beemer.
Beemer has been a floral designer for over 17 years, and now runs her own business doing floral designs for weddings and other events. In this workshop, she will teach participants how to work with their own containers and a variety of natural and manmade materials to create a beautiful centerpiece for the holiday table. Beemer emphasizes that everyone will walk away not only with a fully completed and usable center piece, but with the skills to continue making centerpieces for all occasions and for gifts.
The workshop will take place at The Old Bank Gallery on Main Street in Roxbury. Bring your own favorite bowl or basket. All other materials will be provided. Tuition for the class is $40. Call 607 326-7908 to register.
