Cabaret artists Dell, Brown will return to Andes Hotel
Andes — “The Best of Times” songs and lyrics by Jerry Herman will be presented by cabaret artists Patricia Dell and Kent Brown, at The Andes Hotel, on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. This wonderful evening of song features selections from Herman’s hit shows such as “Hello Dolly,” “Mame,” “Milk & Honey,” “Mack and Mabel” and others.
Patricia Dell is a versatile performer with a career that has taken her throughout the United States performing in concert, recital, opera, musical theater and cabaret. She studied with Marni Nixon and Regine Crespin in New York City as well as Gerard Souzay in the south of France. With the Center for Contemporary Opera (NYC), Ms. Dell has had the opportunity to create the roles of Mrs. Stevenson in the world premiere of Jack Beeson’s “Sorry, Wrong Number” and “Doll” in the New York premiere of Daron Hagen’s “Vera of Las Vegas.”
Kent Brown is a native Midwesterner who has been a church organist since age 12 and earned his Master of Music degree from the University of Texas. He teaches piano privately and is Music Director of Margaretville and Fleischmanns United Methodist churches. In addition to frequent concerts in the area, he has been music director for several notable musical productions in Delaware County.
