Bruce Paul Schratwieser, 63, of Ronkonkoma, formerly of Arkville, passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2011 at the home of his mother from a short battle with cancer.
He was born in Nassau November 24, 1947, the son of Samuel and Delores (Demure) Schratwieser.
Bruce attended school in Central Islip where his love for fast cars started. He was later employed for many years by Corvettes Unlimited on Route 112 in Medford as the head mechanic.
Bruce was also known for his carpentry work after moving to the Arkville area in 1983. His other loves were an ice cold Bud and fishing.
Surviving is a son, Bruce Schratwieser; two daughters, Tammy Buckman and Tracie Schratwieser; four grandchildren, Brandon, Jerry, Cody and Briana; his mother, Delores and two sisters, Linda and husband Artie Busch, Patty and husband, George Wood.
Bruce’s fast wit, good humor and beautiful smile will be missed by friends and family. Goodbye “Little Brucey” until we meet again.
He was predeceased by his father, Samuel Sidney Schratwieser in 1997 and a cousin, Jay Paul Todd in 2010.
