Benefit garden tour planned for Father's Day

East Meredith —The West Kortright Centre (WKC) will hold its 21st annual benefit garden tour on Father’s Day, June 17 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with an extra component featuring local landscapes as well as gardens.

Accentuating the Natural: Landscape & Garden Tour, will highlight gardens and landscapes in the Bovina, Andes and Roscoe areas.  

This summer’s WKC tour offers a full range of garden-planning schemes, each a reflection of that artist/gardener’s personal aesthetic. Participants will see how each site has uniquely enhanced its outdoor environment with an assortment of flowers, shrubs, trees, stone work, water elements, mass plantings, artwork, and vegetable beds.

People can call The Centre until 4 p.m. Friday afternoon, June 15 to pre-register and receive directions to the first garden. Everyone must begin the tour by 1 p.m. and end by 4 p.m. and it will be held rain or shine.

Tickets for the Garden Tour are $16, and bag lunches are available for $8, all to benefit the West Kortright Centre.
