Auxiliary's Spring Fling May 15 at Belleayre Mountain

Highmount — The Auxiliary of Margaretville Hospital and Mountainside Residential Care Center Auxiliary has announced the date of its annual spring dance. The Spring Fling, formerly known as the Dance-a-Thon, will be held Saturday, May 15 at 6 p.m. at Belleayre Mountain’s Overlook Lodge.
With music by Blues Maneuver and Catering by Boston Culinary, the evening will consist of dinner, dancing, silent auction and 50/50 raffle. The auxiliary, who is known for their skills in dessert making, will provide the end of the evening sweets and treats. The entire occasion is reasonably priced at only $35 per person. There will be a cash bar.
Dance instruction will be provided by Rose and Gordy Stahl, teaching Line Dancing, Jacinto Jorge, teaching Salsa, and Mike and Joanne Finberg will teach the Lindy. While the Blues Maneuvers provide music for dancing in the Main Dining area, instruction will be given in a separate area for anyone interested in learning new steps from the instructors.
“People love to come to this event and bring their friends,” Judy Shiner, event chair commented, “We are making a few changes to the format this year, but the basic concept will remain unchanged. The idea is to come, eat, dance, and celebrate spring.”
The proceeds from the Spring Fling will help the auxiliary in their mission to provide financial support for Margaretville Hospital and Mountainside Residential Care Center for tangible items such as medical equipment. In 2009, the auxiliary fund-raising helped the hospital purchase a new four-wheel drive ambulance and continues to fundraise for the new state of the art blood chemistry analyzer.
Tickets are available at the Auxiliary Thrift Shop on Main Street in Margaretville or may be requested by calling 845-254-5787.
