Auxiliary readies for Antique and Flea Market
Margaretville — Final plans are being put into place as the Auxiliary of Margaretville Hospital/Mountainside Residential Care Center prepares for its 45th annual Antique and Flea Market on Saturday, Aug. 3 in the village park.
Among the annual highlights in the Margaretville community, the event features a large number of vendors offering antiques, crafts, and assorted merchandise. Additional vendors are always welcome for offer goods for the thousands of visitors who annually attend the market. The fun takes place in the village park, behind the Freshtown Marketplace.
Margaretville Hospital personnel will also sponsor Health Fair will be held during the market offering free blood pressure testing and blood sugar screening.
Customers can browse among antiques and collectibles, jewelry, tools, artwork, flowers, handmade articles and toys. There is plenty of free parking available. Admission will be $2 for adults and children over 12. For those of you who like to be there before 9 a.m. for first pick, there will be a $3 charge for early admission.
In addition to vendor fees, the auxiliary contributes all proceeds from the sale of refreshments throughout the day, including hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken barbecue, and its legendary bake sale.
