Margaretville — Two healthcare professionals were recently presented with continuing education scholarships by the Auxiliary of Margaretville Hospital and Mountainside Residential Care Center.
The scholarships of $1,000 each were given to Eleanor Stanton, LPN, who is enrolled in the Paramedic Program at SUNY Cobleskill, and Aldona Kulak, LPN, who is studying in the BSN Program at Hartwick College in Oneonta.

The awards are presented annually by the auxiliary to employees at the healthcare campus who are pursuing advanced coursework in their field. The scholarships will be applied toward tuition expenses.
Margaretville Hospital Executive Director Sandy Horan took part in the presentation and expressed her gratitude for the recepients’ professional dedication.

“Ellie and Aldona are important members of our staff and we are pleased that they are pursuing advanced studies in their careers,” Mrs. Horan commented.

The scholarships were presented at the auxiliary’s July 11 meeting. Among those taking part in the ceremony were Auxiliary President Eleanor Aulino, Mountainside Administrator Philip Mehl and Auxiliary First Vice-President Rita Herbst.
