Area Police News: October 17, 2012
Daniel S. Nelson, 16, of Bloomville was arrested by state police on October 8 and faces a number of charges after he was stopped on Route 23 in Gilboa.
Police say they charged Nelson with unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of alcohol by a person under 21 years of age, speeding, failure to keep right and operating out of class.
He was issued appearance tickets returnable in Town of Gilboa Justice Court on October 25.
Dominick R. Stannard, 44, of Hobart was arrested by state police on October 13 following a domestic complaint. Police say they located Stannard on Maple Avenue in Hobart and charged him with DWI after his blood alcohol content allegedly tested .13 percent. He was also charged with driving an unregistered vehicle and with not wearing a seatbelt.
He was issued tickets returnable in Town of Stamford Justice Court on November 13 at 7 p.m.
Thomas B. Vitale, 24, of Jefferson was arrested by state police on October 13 and faces a number of charges after he allegedly tried to elude police when they tried to stop him for a traffic violation.
Police say they charged Vitale with speeding, failure to signal, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, unsafe tires, no stop lamps, driver’s view obstructed and with having an obstructed real license plate.
He was issued tickets returnable in Town of Harpersfield Justice Court on November 5 at 7 p.m.
