Area Police News: November 16, 2011

Lisa M. Skala, 28, of Arkville was arrested by state police on November 9 and charged with second-degree harassment following a series of events involving another local woman. Police say the incidents began earlier at work, continued later with name calling and then ended when Skala allegedly swerved into her lane on Route 28 in Arkville causing the complaintant to take evasive action.

Police say they issued Skala a summons returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court.
Skala was rearrested on November 9 on a bench warrant charging her with failure to appear in Middletown Justice Court on October 17. She was arraigned and sentenced to 15 days in the county jail and was transported to Delhi to begin her term.
