Area Police News: May 2, 2012

Shandaken Police report the arrest on April 24 of Roger A. Berry Sr., 67, of Shokan after they received a call alerting them about an altercations at a local business.
Police responded to the scene and arrested Berry, charging him with second-degree harassment. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Shandaken Court at a later date.

Evan Barnett, 64, of Chichester was arrested on April 26 by members of the Shandaken Police Department and charged with one count of failure to provide sustenance to an animal and one count of letting a dog run at large after they received a complaint that a dog belonging to Barnett was found lying on state Route 214 in Chichester.
Police say the dog, a Springer spaniel, was severely malnourished and dehydrated. The animal was euthanized after it was examined at Peak Animal Hospital due to poor health and advanced age.
Barnett was issued appearance tickets returnable in Town of Shandaken Justice Court at a later date.

Jarrett A. Daddario, 24, of Westkill was arrested by members of the Shandaken Police Department on April 25 and charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle accident on Route 28 in the Town of Shandaken.
Police say they charged Daddario when his blood alcohol content allegedly tested greater than .18 percent.
He was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Shandaken Justice Court at a later date.

Paul D. Kennedy, 34, of Harpersfield was arrested by state police on April 25 and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation after he was stopped on Route 10 in Delhi.
Kennedy was arraigned in Town of Delhi Justice Court and released to reappear at a later date.

John P. Twomey, 43, of Jefferson was arrested by state police on April 23 and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation after he was stopped for speeding on Lake Street in Stamford.
Twomey was issued tickets returnable in Harpersfield Court on May 14.

Roy W. Parker,20, of Hamden was arrested by state police on April 25 and charged with second-degree harassment following a domestic dispute with his girlfriend.
Police say Parker was arraigned in Town of Hamden Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $700 cash bail to await further court action.

Ivana M. Mallaber, 21, of Delhi was arrested by state police on April 29 after she struck a deer on Route 10 in Delhi.
Police say Mallaber was also charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and given tickets returnable in Town of Delhi Justice Court on May 8.

Arthur J. Sutton, 23, of Hopewell Junction was arrested by state police on April 27 and charged with DWI after he was stopped on Route 10 in Delhi while making a turn into the Price Chopper parking lot.
Police say Sutton was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Delhi Justice Court on June 5.
