Area Police News: March 7, 2012

Jeremy J. Morris, 28, of Arkville was arrested by state police on February 29 on a warrant issued by the Town of Roxbury Justice Court charging him with failure to pay a previously levied fine.
Morris was arraigned in Roxbury Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $500 cash bail to await further court action.

Erik Murad, 43, of Kelly Corners was arrested by state police on March 2 and charged with driving with a suspended registration and a suspended license.
He was arraigned in Town of Middletown Justice Court and released to reappear at a later date.

On January 12 Shandaken Police received a complaint from the owner of Car Craft Auto Body Shop in Mt. Tremper that two motor vehicles being stored on his property had been stolen. Police say they received a tip from a witness who observed a marked tow company from Poughkeepsie removing vehicles from the property.
Following an investigation, Shandaken Police arrested Thomas W. Hyson, 18, and Francis M. Sherow III, 50, both of Poughkeepsie. Sherow was charged with one count of criminal possession of stolen property and Hyson was charged with two counts each of grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
They were released to appear on March 22 at 3:30 p.m. in Shandaken Court.
