Area Police News: March 26, 2012

On March 20, Delaware County Deputies responded to suspicious activity in a field adjacent to a residence located on state Route 10 in the Town of Hamden. Upon arrival, deputies located several individuals present in the field. Upon further investigation, Dominick C. Mucaria, 20, of Farmingdale was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of an alcoholic beverage by a minor and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Mucaria is scheduled to appear in the Town of Hamden Court at a later time and date.
On March 20, Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Krista L. McArdle, 29, of Andes for two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Deputies also arrested John J. Schneider, 43, also of Andes for unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. The charges stem from a domestic dispute between McArdle and Schneider that resulted in damaged property and drug paraphernalia being found in the residence.
Both McArdle and Schneider were given appearance tickets returnable in Andes Town Court at a later date.
On March 21, Delaware County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested Joseph Robinson, 48, of DeLancey, on a warrant issued by Delaware County Court for failure to appear for sentencing.  Robinson, who had been released on recognizance by the court following his plea of guilty to a felony driving while intoxicated charge, failed to appear before the Court in October 2013 as directed.
Robinson was arraigned before the Honorable Carl F. Becker in Delaware County Court on Friday morning and was remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility without bail pending further court action.
A Bloomville man, who told police that he was “running late” was arrested on March 23 and charged with DWI and speeding after he was stopped on Route 10 in the Town of Kortright.
Police say they were manning a stationary radar when a car operated by Jason M. Barnhart, 31, flashed past them at 84 miles per hour in a 55-miles-per-hour zone.
Police say they began a chase and, as Barnhart entered the Town of Kortright, he passed three cars while going 101 miles per hour. Police went on to say that when Barnhart finally saw their lights he slowed down, threw a blue can out the passenger window of his car and finally came to a stop on the shoulder of the road.
Police say he was charged with DWI when his blood alcohol level allegedly tested .13 percent.
He was issued a total of six uniform traffic tickets, returnable in both Town of Delhi and Town of Kortright justice courts.
Elayna D. Beede, 49, of Roxbury, an employee of Kirkside Residential Care Center, was arrested by state police on March 18 and charged with two counts of petit larceny after she admitted stealing quantities of the medicine Ipratr-albuterol from a locked medicine cart at the Roxbury facility.
She was issued appearance tickets returnable in Town of Roxbury Justice Court on April 2.
A Delhi woman was arrested by state police on March 21 and issued four traffic tickets as the result of a traffic violation on Second Street in Delhi.
Police say they stopped Stacy A. Hyduk, 46, for failure to signal. They then discovered that her registration was suspended for having no insurance in effect and that there was an active bench warrant seeking her arrest issued by the Village of Walton Justice Court.
She was arraigned in Town of Delhi Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $250 cash bail to await further court action.
