Area Police News: June 23, 2010

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a two-car personnel injury auto accident that occurred on state Route 10 in the Town of Delhi on June 15. Delaware County Treasurer Beverly Shields, 59, of Downsville was traveling south when she was struck by a vehicle traveling north operated by Karen R. Glance, 58, of West Davenport. Shields was treated and released at the scene and Glance was transported to O’Conner Hospital.
Michelle Herbst, 38, of Margaretville was arrested by state police on a warrant issued by the Town of Middletown Justice Court last week Tuesday charging her with writing five bad checks during the last week of May.
Herbst was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court.
George D. Wayman, 46, of Walton was arrested by state police Wednesday and charged with trespass after police received a complaint from a Walton woman.
Wayman was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Walton Justice Court on June 23.
Chad W. Weilbacher, 39, of Selden was arrested by state police Thursday and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and driving an uninspected vehicle after he was stopped on Fall Clove Road in Andes.
Weilbacher was arraigned in Town of Andes Justice Court and released to reappear on July 29.
Marc D. Trautrimas, 44, of Woodstock was arrested by state police Thursday and charged with driving with a suspended registration after he was stopped on Route 28 in Fleischmanns.
He was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court.
Ryszard Leoszewski, 54, of Brooklyn was arrested by state police Friday and charged with DWI after he was stopped on Main Street in Fleischmanns for failure to wear a seat belt. Police say they charged Leoszewski when his blood alcohol level allegedly tested .08 percent.
He was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court on July 22.
Kelly D. Gladstone, 21, of Hamden was arrested by state police Saturday and charged with DWI after she was stopped on Route 10 in Hamden for traffic violations. Police say they charged Gladstone when her blood alcohol level allegedly tested .16 percent.
Gladstone was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Hamden Justice Court on July 13.
Heather A. Dumond, 25, of Stamford was arrested by state police Sunday and charged with disorderly conduct and causing a disturbance after police responded to a complaint that Dumond was banging on the door of a Main Street apartment, screaming obscenities and causing a public disturbance. Police say Dumond was highly intoxicated.
She was arraigned in Town of Stamford Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $250 cash bail to await further court action.
