Area Police News: August 24, 2011

Vanessa M. Sanchez, 31, of Swan Lake was arrested by state police on August 8 on a bench warrant issued by the Town of Middletown Justice Court charging her with failure to appear. She was arraigned and released to reappear at a later date.

Michael F. Fairbairn, 22, of Middleburgh was arrested by state police on August 8 and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment following a domestic dispute with his girlfriend and a fight with his father. Police say Fairbairn was highly intoxicated at the time of the incidents.
Fairbairn was arraigned in Village of Stamford Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $500 cash bail to return to Town of Harpersfield Justice Court at a later date.

Frederick J. Vanoni, 37, of Middletown was arrested by state police on August 16 and faces charges of two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment following a domestic dispute with his girlfriend who is also the mother of his children.
Police say alcohol was heavily involved in the dispute, which took place in their home on Route 30 in the Town of Middletown in front of two of their two children.
Vanoni was arraigned in Town of Middletown Justice Court and released pending further court action on September 9.

Ronald K. Conrow, 42, of Delhi was arrested by state police on August 18 and faces four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, one count of second-degree harassment and one count of fourth-degree criminal mischief following a domestic dispute with his girlfriend in front of her four children. Police say that alcohol and prescription drugs were involved in the dispute.
Conrow was arraigned in Town of Delhi Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail. He is scheduled to reappear in court on September 7.

Rita F. Madore, 51, of Mohegan Lake was arrested by state police on August 20 and charged with DWI after she was stopped in Stamford for a traffic violation.
Police say they charged Madore when her blood alcohol level allegedly tested .12 percent.
She was issued traffic tickets returnable in Stamford Village Court on September 1.

Andrew L. Soules, 20, of Meridale was arrested by state police on August 9 and charged with third-degree grand larceny after he allegedly took a lawn mower from Eklund’s Farm Machinery in Stamford without paying for it.
Soules was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Harpersfield Justice Court on August 22.

John H. Wyberanec, 67, of Roxbury was arrested by state police on August 12 and charged with DWI following a three-car minor property damage accident on Main Street in Stamford.
Police say they charged Wyberanec when his blood alcohol level allegedly tested .15 percent.
He was issued several traffic tickets returnable in Village of Stamford Justice Court.

Sherri L. Telian, 47, of Delhi was arrested by state police on August 15 and charged with second-degree harassment following a domestic dispute with her husband.
Police say they issued Telian an appearance ticket returnable in Delhi Court.

Joshua T. Griswold, 27, of Atlanta was arrested by state police on August 21 and charged with DWI after he was stopped on Route 23 in Stamford for a traffic violation.
Police say they charged Griswold when his blood alcohol level allegedly tested .11 percent.
He was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Gilboa Justice Court on September 8.

Peter Cortes, 62, of New York was arrested by Shandaken Police on August 19 after he was stopped for driving a car with a broken rear windshield. The car Cortes was driving was reported stolen in October of 2010. Cortes fasces charges of grand larceny, aggravated unlicensed operation, driving with a suspended license and unsafe glass.
He was arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.

Walton Police have announced the arrest on Sunday of Lejuan R. Wainwright, formerly of St. Petersburg, on charges of second-degree murder in connection with the stabbing death on Saturday of Tyler R. Warner, 20, of Walton following a fight. Wainwright is in the county jail awaiting court action.
