Area Police News: August 22, 2012
Shandaken Police report the arrest on August 16 of Leander M. Ferris, 60, of Big Indian and Florida. Police say Ferris was wanted for a number of outstanding bench and arrest warrants from Shandaken and Woodstock courts in 2002 and 2010. Police say that he was allegedly lighting up a glass pipe containing marijuana when the found him Thursday morning.
Ferris was charged with bail jumping and unlawful possession of marijuana and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.
Greggory R. Forbis, 31, of Schoharie was arrested by state police on August 15 and charged with DWI after he was stopped on Route 23 in ‘Grand Gorge for a traffic violation.
Police say they charged Forbis when his blood alcohol level allegedly tested .10 percent.
He was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Roxbury Justice Court on August 29 at 9 a.m.
Denise M. Moore, 24, of Arkville was arrested by state police on August 15 and charged with harassment and criminal mischief following a domestic dispute with her ex-boyfriend.
Moore was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court on August 27 at 9 a.m.
