Area Police News: April 29, 2009
Police responded to the scene of a single-vehicle accident on Dry Brook Road last Wednesday where they say Arkville resident Lori L. Knapp, 39, left the road and hit a boulder and an earth embankment. Police say they observed an odor of alcohol on Knapp’s breath and white powder in her nasal passage.
Police also say that they found an empty oxycodone bottle in the center console and another empty bottle for the same prescription in the glove compartment. A metal pipe containing marijuana residue was also said to be found on the floor of the vehicle, as well as a granite pipe in the center console that also allegedly contained marijuana residue. Knapp was issued uniform traffic tickets for common law DWI, no seat belt driver, moving from lane unsafely and unlawful possession of marijuana, all returnable to the Town of Middletown Court on May 11.
