Area Police News: April 24, 2013
Deputies from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office report the arrest of Ronald W. Mudge, 42, of Winnie Road, Mt. Tremper. He was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, a class A misdemeanor.
On April 21 at about 3:55 p.m., sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported domestic dispute in the Town of Shandaken. Upon arrival, deputies interviewed both parties and discovered that Mudge had allegedly grabbed the victim with his hands around the neck.
Mudge was taken into custody at the scene without incident. He was processed and arraigned before Town of Woodstock Justice Engel and released. Mudge is to return to the Shandaken Court on Tuesday April 23 at 6 p.m.
Daniel R. Reidy, 19, of Pomona was arrested by state police on April 16 and charged with DWI drugs after police found his car in the ditch alongside Sherwoods Road in Delhi.
Police say they charged Reidy after he failed a field sobriety test. He was transported to Margaretville Hospital where a blood sample was taken and he was then questioned by a drug recognition expert trooper.
He was issued tickets returnable in Town of Delhi Court on May 7 at 9 a.m.
Ryan V. Kelder, 22, of Margaretville was arrested by state police on April 19 and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation after he was stopped for a traffic violating on Route 28 in the Town of Middletown.
Kelder was arraigned in Town of Roxbury Justice Court and released to reappear in Town of Middletown Justice Court on April 25 at 9:30 a.m.
Lauren A. Marszal, 19, of Unadilla was arrested by state police on April 18 after she allegedly passed a school bus with its red lights flashing on Meredith Street in Delhi.
She was issued a ticket charging her with failure to stop for a school bus returnable in Town of Delhi Court on April 30 at 9 a.m.
Devyn T. Clum, 18, of Bloomville was arrested by state police on April 18 following what state police say were two incidents of domestic violence between Clum and his girlfriend. Police say in the first incidence Clum pointed a shotgun at his girlfriend and her child and then in the second incidence a verbal argument escalated where Clum punched and bite her.
Clum was charged with second-degree menacing, second-degree harassment, aggravated harassment and endangering the welfare of a child.
He was arraigned in Town of Stamford Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail to await further court action.
James M. Carroll, 20, of Hicksville was arrested by state police on April 22 and charged with DWI after he was stopped on Route 10 in Hobart for allegedly passing another car on a solid yellow line.
Carroll was issued tickets returnable in Town of Stamford Justice Court on May 13 at 7 p.m.
