Area Police News: April 10, 2013

Christopher R. Bracci, 20, of Delhi was arrested by state police on April 4 and faces a number of charges after he was found sitting in a pickup truck that was found facing southbound in the northbound lane of Route 10 in Delhi.
Police say Bracci had glassy watery eyes and was stuttering when he was questioned. He was charged with no seatbelt, parking on pavement, seventh-degree possession of a hypodermic needle, DWI drugs and unlawful possession of marijuana.
He was issued appearance tickets returnable in Town of Delhi Justice Court on April 16 at 9 a.m.

Casey J. Weishar, 23, of Stamford was arrested by state police on April 5 and charged with second-degree strangulation, third-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal mischief and unlawful possession of marijuana following a domestic dispute with his girlfriend. Police say Weishar allegedly choked his girlfriend to the point where she blacked out while slamming her body against a wall causing cuts and bruises to her back.
Weisher was arraigned in Town of Stamford Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail. His girlfriend was issued an order of protection by the court.

Spencer R. Steck, 23, of Buffalo was arrested by state police on April 3 and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation after he was stopped on Route 28 in Arkville for a traffic violation.
Police say they also charged Steck with operating a vehicle while using a cell phone and failure to use a turn signal.
Steck was arraigned in Town of Middletown Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $350 cash bail to reappear at a later date.

Crystal M. Votee, 33, of Arkville was arrested by state police on April 4 and charged with second-degree harassment and third-degree menacing. Police say the charges resulted from a domestic dispute with her mother that became verbally abusive and then escalated to the point where Votee allegedly threw a glass bowl at her.
She was arraigned in Town of Middletown Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $500 cash bail to await further court action.

Jessie E. Papas, 23, of Stamford was arrested by state police on April 3 and charged with third-degree assault after he allegedly struck his girlfriend in the face several times during an argument. Police say the blows caused swelling and bruising to her left eye and chin.
Papas was arraigned in Town of Stamford Justice Court and released to reappear at a later date.
