Anne Farnum
Anne M. Farnum, 68, of Roxbury, passed away Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, at her residence.
She was born May 21, 1942, the daughter of Charles and Marion Conner Inman.
Anne graduated from Oswego College with a B.A. degree as a certified elementary teacher and later earned her remedial reading certification.
She married Clifford Farnum on June 29, 1963, in Brooklyn. She moved to Roxbury in 1967 where she was a teacher at Roxbury Central School for 33 years, retiring in 2003.
Anne enjoyed sailing, gardening and children’s books that she shared with many children.
She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel and the Sacred Heart Church in Margaretville and Sacred Heart Women’s Society.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Clifford Farnum, Roxbury; two sons and their wives, Chris Farnum and Joan, Saratoga and Shawn Farnum and Juliet Polesa, Roxbury; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen Probst and Michael, Boise, Idaho; grandchildren, Allison Farnum, Brittanie Farnum, Calvin Probst and Rowen Probst; one sister, Dorothy Kelly, Brooklyn; sister-in-law, Elinore Farnum, Schenectady; step grandchildren, Michael Pastore, Katie Gannon, Mallory Gannon and Joe Gannon; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Marion Inman; one sister, Helen Inman and one brother-in-law, James Kelly.

Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, at Miller Funeral Home in Roxbury.
A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, at the Sacred Heart Church in Margaretville, with the Rev. Paul Catena as celebrant.
Burial will be in Roxbury Cemetery at a later date.
Donations may be made in memory of Anne Farnum to the Roxbury Ambulance Squad, Roxbury, NY 12474. Arrangements are by Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury.
