A gathering to benefit the Harp family

Margaretville —  Tina Harp’s house on Route 42 in Shandaken was destroyed by a fire on September 18. She and her family were left without a home.
It was just before 2 p.m. when Tina, who had been weaving in her outdoor studio, saw weird shadows in the sky. She came out of her studio and saw the entire top floor of the house blazing.
Over 70 firefighters from 10 companies battled the fire while she watched a lifetime worth of memories go up in flames.
In support of the Harp Family as they start anew, The Cheese Barrel in Margaretville will host a gathering on Wednesday, Nov. 30 from 3 to 6 p.m. to bestow gifts and well wishes upon them. All are welcome.
The Cheese Barrel is located at the corner of Main and Bridge streets. There is a gift registry for the Harp Family at Home Goods of Margaretville located in The Commons, also on Main Street.
