$865,000 awarded for Delaware work

Stamford — State Senator John J. Bonacic (R/I/C – Mt. Hope), announced that $865,512 in state aid will be made available to the Town of Stamford under the state’s RESTORE NY program.
The funding will be used for the rehabilitation of two vacant properties on main streets in the villages of Hobart and Stamford.
One building is a vacant four-story Queen Anne Victorian with 13,750 square feet to be made into first floor retail, second floor offices and third floor apartments for tenants in the Village of Stamford. The second building is 5,200 feet and will be rehabilitated as a bookstore and book warehouse as part of the Book Village of the Catskills revitalization; the building will be occupied and operated by an established bookseller.
