Finkel earns law degree from Tulane

Sayde Finkel, daughter of Cheryl Stelter and Steve Finkel of New Kingston, graduated from Tulane University School of Law in New Orleans in May.
An honors graduate from Brandeis University in Waltham, Mass., in 2005, Sayde originally attended Tulane for just one week during August of 2005, but was forced to evacuate just prior to Hurricane Katrina and spent that fall interning at a law firm in Chicago.


Randazzo named CEO, president of The Sulfur Institute

Catherine Randazzo, daughter of Ted Randazzo of Halcott Center, recently began work as president and CEO of The Sulphur Institute (TSI) in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining The Sulphur Institute, Randazzo was chief operating officer and executive vice president of The Society of the Plastics Industry, also located in Washington.


Cobleskill couple welcomes baby boy

Paul and Erin France of Cobleskill have announced the birth of their son, Tyler Holden France, born April 2, 2008 at 3:32 p.m. at Bellevue Hospital. He weighed six pounds, seven ounces and was 19 inches long at birth.

Eun Lee of Margaretville, daughter of Joon Lee and Sunny Lee, was named to the Merit List of Oxford College, the two-year liberal arts division of Emory University located in Oxford, Ga., for the spring 2007 semester.


Winfield Hinkley earns promotion

Technical Sgt. Winfield Hinkley, son of Wink and Karen Hinkley of Grand Gorge and an instructor at the Elmendorf Professional Military Education Center in Alaska, recently became a master sergeant through a ‚"Stripes for Exceptional Performers‚" promotion, an unexpected, on-the-spot promotion awarded on the merits of hard work and ‚"superior dedication to the mission."
