Area Police News: Nov. 24, 2010

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a recently reported burglary that occurred at a residence located on Crawford Road in the Town of Hamden between mid-February and late May. Crawford Road is located off Launt Hollow Road in Hamden.


Area Police News: Nov. 17, 2010

Brandie M. Ingraham, 19, of Unadilla was arrested by state police last week Tuesday on a criminal summons from the Town of Middletown Justice Court charging her with issuing a bad check. She was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court on November 18.


Area Police News: Nov. 10, 2010

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Christopher M. Lawton, 28, of Davenport on a bench warrant issued on March 5, 2002 by the Town of Delhi Justice Court for failure to pay a $165 fine and court charges. He was arraigned before Town of Kortright Justice Yvonne Pagillo and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $165 cash bail. He is to appear on November 10.


Area Police News: Nov. 3, 2010

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested and charged Dean A. Calamia, 38, of Delhi last week Wednesday in connection with two separate complaints. Calamia was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and fourth-degree grand larceny.


Police News: Oct. 27, 2010

Gary A. Daquila, 20, of Pawling was arrested Friday and charged with possession of alcohol by a person under 21 as the result of a state police underage drinking enforcement detail in the Village of Delhi. Daquila was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Delhi Justice Court on November 2.


Area Police News: Oct. 20, 2010

Joseph K. Casazza, 17, of Ashland was arrested by state police last week Tuesday after he allegedly discharged an ammonium sulfide stink bomb in his classroom at BOCES in Grand Gorge. Police say they issued Casazza an appearance ticket charging him with unlawful possession of noxious material. He is scheduled to appear in Roxbury Justice Court on October 27.


Area Police News: Oct. 13, 2010

Michael VanDermeulen, 22, of Monticello was arrested by state police last week Monday and charged with speeding and aggravated unlicensed operation after he was stopped on Route 28 in Andes. He was arraigned in Andes Justice Court and released on $100 cash bail to reappear later.


Police News: Oct. 6, 2010

David Chairvolotti, 37, of Margaretville was arrested by state police last week Monday and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and petit larceny after he allegedly purchased gas and beer at the Country Store in Margaretville with a credit card that was stolen from a car parked on Main Street earlier that day.


Police News: Sept. 29, 2010

Russell McKee, 47, of Delaware Avenue, Andes was arrested September 25 on a charge of criminal mischief stemming from a vandalism incident at the Andes Town Hall.


Area Police News: Sept. 22, 2010

Big Indian resident Joseph P. VanLeuvan, 23, was arrested last week and issued uniform traffic tickets for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, driving without a license and speeding after police stopped him for traveling 42 miles per hour in a 30-mph zone. The tickets are all returnable on September 28.
