Joseph D. Kinch, 19, of Delhi was arrested by state police Sunday and charged with DWI and unlawful possession of marijuana after he was stopped at a stationary road check on Route 10 in the Town of Delhi. Kinch was issued appearance tickets returnable in Town of Delhi Court on April 6.

Jason E. Clinton, 25, of Walton faces a number of traffic charges after he was stopped Wednesday by state police on Delaware Street in Walton. Police say they charged Clinton with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unregistered motor vehicle, unlicensed operation, no passenger side brake light and no seat belt. Clinton was issued appearance tickets returnable in Walton Court on March 24.

Delaware County Deputies arrested Michael H. Vogel, 17, of Delhi on February 12 on charges of second-degree burglary and petite larceny. It is alleged that Vogel entered and remained unlawfully in a residence in the Town of Delhi and stole approximately $120 worth of silver and gold colored coins. The coins were later exchanged at a local business. The coins were then recovered and secured as evidence with the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office. Vogel was arraigned in the Town of Bovina Justice Court and remanded to the county jail on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 secured bond.

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Department arrested Jared Rice, 28, of Stamford on February 9, charging him with one count each of first-degree criminal sexual act, a class B felony and first-degree sexual abuse, also a class D felony. Rice is alleged to have had sexual contact with a child less than 11 years of age.

Delaware County Sheriff’s arrested Lisa A. Schmidt, 33, of DeLancey on February 5. Schmidt was arrested on a warrant out of the Town of Stamford Court for the charge of second-degree aggravated harassment. Schmidt was arraigned at the Town of Stamford Court and released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 9 at 6 p.m.

State police arrested Roxbury resident Paul C. Garofolo, 34, last Monday and charged him with violating an order of protection by allegedly calling the complainant. He was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and was arraigned before a Town of Roxbury judge and was remanded to the Delaware County Jail on $1,500 cash or $3,000 bond returnable on February 3.

Patrick Pascucci, 22, of Exeter, NH was arrested by state police Sunday and charged with DWI after he was stopped on Main Street in Stamford for speeding. Police say Pascucci was arraigned in Village of Stamford Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail. He is scheduled to reappear in Stamford Justice Court on Feb. 12.

State police arrested Halcottsville resident Jeffery A. Cortese, 24, last Tuesday on an active bench warrant from the Town of Roxbury. Police say Cortese committed second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal mischief to a motor vehicle, and that he was taken into custody, arraigned in the Town of Roxbury, and sent to the Delaware County Jail on $2,500 cash bail. He is scheduled to reappear on Feb. 2.

Shane R. Lepinnet, 22, of Walton was arrested by state police Saturday and charged with DWI following a traffic stop in the Village of Walton. Police say they charged Lepinnet with DWI after he provided a blood sample at Delaware Valley Hospital. He was also charged with inadequate exhaust and failure to obey a posted traffic device.

Stamford resident William T. Wyble, 16, was arrested last Tuesday and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief following an incident that police described as a dispute between Wyble and his brother, which allegedly stemmed from an argument over a video game. The charges are the result of allegations that Wyble became enraged and began throwing items around the house, overturned the garbage in the kitchen, and ripped a telephone from the wall. Police say he then threatened to break his brother’s game system, at which point the brother called police. Wyble was transported to the Stamford police station, where he was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Harpersfield Court on Jan. 11.
