Area Police News: April 15, 2015

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies were requested to respond to the Delaware County Public Safety Building for an unruly subject on Thursday, April 9. As a result of the incident Lisa A. Osborne, 38, of Hamden was arrested for disorderly conduct as well as resisting arrest. Osborne was arraigned in the Town of Delhi Court and remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 secured bond. Osborne will reappear in the Town of Delhi Court on April 21 at 9 a.m. to answer these charges.

Area Police News: April 1, 2015

Martin Stoutenburg, 43, of Highland was arrested by Shandaken Police on March 28 and charged with DWI after he was stopped on the Woodland Valley Road in the Town of Shandaken for a traffic violation.
Stoutenburg was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Shandaken Justice Court.
On the evening of Friday, March 27, Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies received a complaint of a domestic dispute that had occurred on county Route 26 in the Town of Hamden.


Area Police News: March 25, 2015

John Kowatch, 45, of Margaretville was arrested by state police on March 16 and charged with second-degree criminal contempt, fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree harassment and offering a false written statement following a domestic dispute with his wife that police say turned physical.
Kowatch was arraigned in Town of Middletown Justice Court where he posted $1,500 cash bail to await further court action.


Area Police News: March 18, 2015

Austin I. Rose, 19, of Lowman was arrested by state police on May 9 after he was stopped for allegedly passing another vehicle in a no-passing zone on Route 30 near Halcottsville.
Police say they also charged Rose with driving to the left of pavement markings, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operator, and with having an obstructed rear plate.
Rose was arraigned in Town of Middletown Justice Court and released to reappear on March 26 at 9 a.m.


Area Police News: March 11, 2015

Frank L. Osborne, 50, of Chichester was arrested by Shandaken Police on March 4 and charged with third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing following an argument with another man at the Phoenicia Liquor Store.
Osborne was issued appearance tickets returnable in Shandaken Town Court on March 19.

On Wednesday afternoon, February 25, members of the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office investigated the accidental death of a well-known retired Delhi area dairy farmer and active, volunteer member of the Delhi Fire Department.

Rose M. Aubry, 46, of Margaretville was arrested by state police on February 16 and charged with DWI after she drove her car into a snow bank on John Tuttle Road in New Kingston.
Police say that charged Aubry after she failed a field sobriety test and following a blood test at Margaretville Hospital.
She was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court.


Area Police News: February 18, 2015

Justin Hoffpauir, 20, of Ark­ville was arrested by state police on February 10 and charg­ed with unlawful possession of marijuana after he was stopped of a traffic violation on Route 23 in Grand Gorge.
Hoffpauir was additionally charged with several traffic violations and issued appearance tickets returnable in Town of Roxbury Court on March 11.
Brian W. Finch, 31, of Ark­ville was arrested by state police on February 12 and charged with second-degree harassment after an argument with his father allegedly escalated to a pushing incident.


Area Police News: February 4, 2015

Zachary A. Zlata, 27, of Downsville was arrested by state police on January 30 and charged with DWI following a one-car personal injury accident on Route 30 in Andes.
Police say they were called to the scene and interviewed Zlata who told them that he and his girlfriend were on the way home when his truck slid on ice and hit the guardrail.
Injured in the accident was Marissa R. Ferraiolo, 26, of Hamden who suffered lacerations to her face. She was transported to Margaretville Hospital where she was treated for her injuries.


Area Police News: January 28, 2015

Donald W. McGee, 31, of Stamford was arrested by state police on January 25 and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation after he was stopped on Route 10 in Hobart for a traffic violation.
McGee was arraigned in Town of Harpersfield Justice Court and released to reappear on February 10 at 6 p.m.
Debra L. Spicer, 44, of Pendleton, SC was arrested by state police on January 20 and charged with driving with a suspended license and a suspended registration after she was stopped on Route 10 in Delhi.
