Henry E. Weisgerber II, 83, of Roxbury died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 at his home after a long and valiant battle with cancer.

Henry was born in the Bronx on August 15, 1929, the son of Henry and Helen (Cornell) Weisgerber. Henry’s love of the Catskill Mountains made him a long-time resident. He was active in Revolutionary and Civil War reenactments. Mountain-man history was of particular interest to him and he enjoyed many years of involvement in this passion. He was known to many of his friends as “Dirt Dog.”  

Lorilee N. Herdman, 53, of Holiday Drive, Woodstock died suddenly Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 at the Kingston Hospital. 

A native and lifelong area resident, she was born December 25, 1958 in Margaretville, daughter of Lillian Reynolds Herdman and the late Paul Herdman. 

Madeline Rose DiLeo, 90, a resident of Margaretville, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 at Mountainside Residential Care Center in Margaretville where she had lived since June 12, 2009. 

Madeline, who formerly lived in Arkville, was born July 18, 1922 in the Bronx, the daughter of Tony and Mary (Capaldo) Rapillo. Her husband, Paul DiLeo died in December 1997.

She is survived by two sons, Philip DiLeo of Spring Hill, FL and Tony DiLeo of Margaretville and a son-in-law Sal Mucciacciaro. Eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive.

Theodore F. Hull, 90, a resident of Johnson Hollow, Prattsville died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta.

Ted was born May 22, 1922 at Johnson Hollow, Town of Roxbury, the son of W. Bruce and Emily Ruth (Thompson) Hull. He married Reta Martha Howard on January 15, 1943 at Cooperstown. She died November 13, 2000.

God took another angel home when Katherine E. Rossman, a resident of Schenevus, and formerly of Margaretville, died on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012 at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown.

She was born on September 5, 1946 at Andes, the daughter of Karl and Dora (Brodhun) Soderback.
Katherine worked at the Margaretville Hospital for nine years and also operated the Rossman Adult Home for 10 years.

She enjoyed helping people in any way that she could. She loved spending time with her family.

Michael Hasay, 98, of Fleischmanns, died on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012 after a brief illness.
Mr. Hasay was born on July 3, 1914 in Ihorvytsya, Ukraine, the son of Maria Kinjerski and Stephan Hasaj.

He was a carpenter/cabinet maker in Ternopil, Ukraine and continued his trade when he was a refugee
in Germany in 1945. Mr. Hasay was a member of the carpenters union in Kingston.

Esther G. Delameter, 89, formerly of Arkville, passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 at Margaretville Hospital, Margaretville.

She was born on April 8, 1923 in Margaretville to Seager George and Blanche VanValkenburgh.
Esther married Nelson H. Delameter on March 18,1944 in Anniston, Alabama.  He pre-deceased her on March 18, 1996.
Esther had resided at Kirkside Adult Home in Roxbury since May of 2008.

Siegfried Otto Burkhardt, 72, of Pine Hill died on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012.
He was born December 27, 1939 in Massebach, Germany, the son of Fritz and Rosa Burkhardt. He immigrated to Brooklyn in 1951, later moving to a farm in Jefferson.

Siegfried enlisted in the U. S. Army in 1963 and was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC in the Airborne Corps. After his discharge, Siegfried worked in the knitting/textile industry in Queens until his retirement in 2004. He then moved to his weekend home in Pine Hill and worked several winters at Belleayre Mountain Ski Center.

Services for Michael Hasay, 98, of Fleischmanns, who died Monday, November 12, 2012, and his nephew, Siegfried Burkhardt, 72, of Pine Hill, who died Friday, November 9, 2012, will be held at the same time on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville.
Calling hours will be held Friday, November 16, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville

Richard L. Brisbane, 64, of Hancock Street, Fort Plain died Monday, Nov.12, 2012 at Samuel Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany following a long illness.

Born on February 27, 1948 in Margaretville, he was the son of Glenford Davis and Dorothy Brisbane.  Mr. Brisbane had been a Fort Plain resident for over 40 years, previously residing in Margaretville.  He obtained his GED while serving in the US Army.

Mr. Brisbane was a forklift operator for Select LLC in St. Johnsville for many years.
