Marian Henderson, 96, of Margaretville, died Friday, April 25, 2008 at Mountainside Residential Care Center, where she has lived since May 3, 2005.
She was born December 16, 1911, the daughter of Arthur and Essie Johnson Mead, the youngest of two daughters. She was raised in Halcott Center.

Eugene Wickham Jr., 90, of Margaretville, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008.
He was born in Millbrook Valley, Arena, the son of Eugene and Mary Wickham.
“Little Gene,” as he was known by friends and neighbors, grew up on his farm, which he later took over and operated, until forced retirement, due to health problems in 1996.

A memorial service will be held for Juanita Kelly Ramsland at the Methodist Church in Margaretville at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 27.
Mrs. Ramsland was a graduate of the 1942 senior class of Margaretville High School, after which she entered the nursing profession and was a Registered Nurse for 50 years.

Irene Trowbridge, 83, of Countryside Care Center, Delhi, died Friday, April 18, 2008.
She was born in Unadilla on May 6, 1924, the daughter of Seth S. Sr. and Edith (Hanley) Miller. Irene was a graduate of Charlotte Valley Central School.

Brian McCoy, 60, of Tampa, Fla., died there on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 following a long illness.
He was born in New York City on April 4, 1948 and lived in Pearl River, Rockland County before relocating to Andes in 1978.
While living in Andes he owned the Real McCoys, now Cassie’s Kitchen, and Brian Electric.

 

Lois M. (Ruff) Thompson of Hendersonville, North Carolina, died Saturday, April 5, 2008 in her home, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

She was born in Walton to the late Reginald and Dorothy Ruff.

After graduating from high school in Andes, she moved to Florida where she attended and later graduated from the Hollywood College of Beauty Culture.

Dorothia Jean Marian, 81, of Margaretville, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Mountainside Residential Care Center, Margaretville.
She was born on November 4, 1926 at Newark, N.J., daughter of Richard and Maude (Dowd) Campbell.

Irene Rachel VanNatta, 94, of Roxbury, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at her residence.
She was born March 2, 1914 in St. John’s, Newfoundland, the daughter of Martin and Annie Brown.

Paul Klaverweiden, 84, a resident of Roxbury, died Sunday, April 7, 2008 at Margaretville Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Haarlem, Holland on May 28, 1923.

Alexander George Seraphides, 84, of Pine Hill, died Monday, March 17, 2008 of natural causes.
He was born in Braila, Romania on January 20, 1924.
