Phoenicia sewer project to go forward

The Shandaken Town Board voted Monday to enter into an agreement with the Catskill Watershed Corporation (CWC) that will result in the CWC paying almost $300,000 to review all plans for a Phoenicia wastewater system and endorse a preferred plan for the hamlet to proceed with. But those that have been against the project are demanding that the town must now hire a specific attorney to represent the hamlet while CWC does its work.

German American Oktoberfest

Highmount — The German-American Club of the Northern Catskills, Inc. will sponsor its 11th Annual Oktoberfest at Belleayre Mountain Ski Center’s Discovery Lodge on Saturday, Oct. 16 from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The popular event is being co-sponsored by Belleayre Mountain Ski Center.
